nail polish and blood to name a few!
Our blood mirrors the function of a
mood ring in the way of indicating
emotional intensities we feel in our skin-
rage, embarrassment or love. We
feel and experience things that cannot
be classified in simple terms as happy
or sad so my works endeavour to
articulate these in-between emotions, and
red has an ambiguous quality to
translate this on the skin of my canvas.
The general subject matter of my work
can appear wistful and reflective. I love
exploring the pathos and charisma of

something I find quite positive and
beautiful rather than sad. I have a
